Etymology: Tylochromis: Greek, tylos = callus + Greek, chromis = a fish, perhaps a perch (Ref. 45335); trewavasae: Named for Dr. Ethelwynn Trewavas who has so generously shared her knowledge of the African Cichlidae with colleagues and students, and who originally brought the unusual Tylochromis specimen to the authors attention (Ref. 52346).
