Two or more irregular thorns along the median belt of its disc rearward from the scapular region. First and second dorsal fins separated by definite interspace with one or two thorns. Upper surface brownish gray, lower surface pale yellowish (Ref. 6902).
Deep water species (Ref. 6902). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
