Duri punggung (Keseluruhan (total)) : 9; duri punggung lunak (Keseluruhan (total)) : 11 - 14; Duri dubur: 3; Sirip dubur lunak: 10 - 12; vertebrata, bertulang belakang: 24. Six to seven pectoral filaments below pectoral fin, the fifth filament from the ventralmost, longest, may extend beyond caudal fin. Body and head yellow, shaded with black dorsally; fins bright orange, pectoral filaments intense vermilion (Ref. 9685).
