Adult biology: | Occurs over rocky bottoms, less frequently on sandy bottoms (Ref. 12382). Feeds on small fish and invertebrates. Reproduction between February and August. | |||
Diagnosis: | Distinctive characteristic from Phrynorhombus norvegicus: at early and late postlarva, presence of one and two large otocystic spines on each side, respectively. . See also LARVAE table. | |||
