Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 73 - 373 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Kwatna Inlet in British Columbia, Canada to northern central Baja California, Mexico.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 5-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-7; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 5-7; Vertebrae: 41-42. Caudal fin small. Pelvic fins short.
Biology:  Inhabits soft bottom.
