Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: endemic to the Malagarazi River, Tanzania (Ref. 97233).
Diagnosis:  Description: moderately deep body and a not-so-steep frontal profile, which is concave in at least the adults; caudal fin rounded (Ref. 52307). Mouth large, teeth simple (Ref. 4967).
Biology:  Inhabits areas with slow current with vegetation (Ref. 4967, 52307). No information available on breeding (Ref. 52307, 97233) and feeding (Ref. 52307) behavior.
