Max. size:  25 cm SL (male/unsexed); 24 cm SL (female)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; freshwater; brackish; marine, anadromous
Distribution:  Europe: Restricted to southern Caspian basin.
Diagnosis:  This species is distinguished from Salmo ciscaucasicus by the following characters: body depth about 21-26% SL (vs. 15-20%); head depth about 68-75% HL (vs. 59-65%); interorbital distance about 37-48% HL (30-42% HL) (Ref. 59043).
