Max. size:  2.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: known only from a single specimen collected from a rainforest stream, about 2 km east of Ajamaru Village in the middle of the Vogelkop Peninsula, Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 12-12
Biology:  Inhabits well-vegetated rainforest stream.
IUCN Red List Status: Critically Endangered (CR); Date assessed: 05 December 2019 (B1ab(v)) Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
