Max. size:  4.29 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Irrawaddy and Sittang basins in Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-11. Paracanthocobitis linypha can be diagnosed from all other congeners in having 10-14 thin dark bars (sometimes alternating short and long bars) on side of body much narrower than interspaces (Ref. 102002).
