Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed); max. reported age: 3 years
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: Upper Roanoke River (including Dan River) drainage in Virginia and North Carolina, USA; and upper James River in Virginia, where possibly introduced.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits rocky riffles and runs of clear, swift, small rivers (Ref. 86798).
