Max. size:  17.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 24 - 250 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: southern California to Peru, including the Galapagos Islands (Ref. 5227).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits deep walls and reefs; most common below 33 m. Reclusive, lurks in cracks, crevices and under large overhangs (Ref. 5227).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 01 May 2008 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
