Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Cushabatay River basin in Peru (Ref. 36817); Río Mamoré basin in Bolivia (Ref. 95502).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in clear water, with large rocks on fine sand, clay or shingle bottom; no aquatic vegetation but with leaves and dead wood (Ref. 36817).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 24 April 2014 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
