| Biology: | Caught in open off-shore waters and in a relatively shallow bay. All localities had a mud substrate (Ref. 4983). Fishes from greater depths feed on small crustaceans, especially Caridina sp. and to a lesser degree, on Diptera pupa. Fishes from shallower locality fed on Diptera pupa with considerable quantities of mud ingested (Ref. 558). | |||
