Max. size:  8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 37 - 68 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: widespread, from Cargados Carajos to the Philippines, north to Hong Kong (Ref. 31075) and China Main (Ref. 33837).
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 59-66. Caudal fin short (1.38 to 1.49 times in head length) (Ref 42535).
Biology:  Inhabits sand bottoms.
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 15 November 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
