Family:  Bothidae (Lefteye flounders)
Max. size:  5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 1 - 81 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Red Sea and Maldives to the Coral Sea.
Diagnosis:  Head and body uniformly coloured, scarcely with spots and rings. Eyes without flaps. Lower-jaw length on eyed side 9.3 to 13% SL. Maximum SL about 5 cm (Ref 42535).
Biology:  Inhabits sand and mud bottoms.
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 04 March 2015 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
