Max. size:  3.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; depth range 2 - 40 m
Distribution:  South America: middle and upper Amazon River basin.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal soft rays: 18-18; Vertebrae: 40-40
Biology:  Feeds on terrestrial arthropods such as spiders, a mosquito-like dipteran, heads of ants, orthopteran and dipterans.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 20 October 2020 Ref. (130435)
