Distinguished from other congeners by the combination of the following characters: caudal vertebrae 12; absence of mark on side of head; dorsal-fin spines 15-16; dorsal-fin rays 10-12; anal-fin rays 9-10; rib pairs 11; 25-26 proximal radials on dorsal-fin base; 13-14 proximal radials on anal-fin base; caudal-peduncle length 10.2-11.9% SL; snout not robust; absence of depression on head; wide ectopterygoid; arms of epibranchial 2 with two long tubular processes; and arms of vertical trunk bar 7 with the same width (Ref. 79631). | |||
